These are real testimonials from fishermen using our lures.
The reason I am reordering Willy Lures is because they are fantastic. My
boat has consistently
out fished the other boats in our annual trek to Canada for lake trout. I'm
anxious to try the
new products I just ordered.
Thanks for the great products!

Part 1 -- I had never seen a Willy Lure until 4 years ago when I was fishing
at our place in Canada. I took a young man downrigger fishing for lake
trout and he put on a lure that I had never seen (I now know it was a
Willy Lure). We both caught fish but he caught more using his lure than I
did using mine, though his fish were noticeably smaller. When I
asked him the name of the lure, he said he didn't know because his dad had
bought it.
Part 2 -- I went to a garage sale about a year later and bought 160 lures
for $80 (a guy was moving from Minnesota to Florida and figured he didn't
need his downrigging and freshwater fishing stuff anymore. I actually
missed out on the good stuff.). I sold off about half the lures to pay for
the remaining lures - my "free" lures. Recalling the success of my young
partner a year before I decided to keep the only Willy Lure in the mix and
give it a try.
Part 3 -- I didn't try the lure until last September because my usual
lures normally produced whenever I got up to our place. Well the September
trip was tougher fishing. We caught trout but spent a lot of time on the
water between strikes. After striking out on northern and smallmouth bass
the last afternoon and having only an hour and a half of time left
before supper, I decided to downrigger for trout on my way back to
camp. Since I really didn't believe or care all the much if I caught trout
(how about that for motivation) I decided to try the Willy Lure which
happened to be a trout pattern.
Now keep in mind that I was fishing alone and using only one downrigger and
rod. During the next hour and 15 minutes I caught and released 5 lake trout
on that lure. I was the fastest action of the whole trip! Believe me I was
busy. When I got back to camp and told everyone how I did they wanted to
know what lure I was using. I showed it to them but still had no idea what
it was called.
Part 4 -- This spring we had really tough fishing but the Willy was the only
consistent producer. Unfortunately, I lost the lure going over a mid-lake
hump. I didn't know the name of the lure until I saw a short product
announcement in "Outdoor News" this week.
I have fished for a long time and know that no lure produces all the time.
I also know and have experienced times when the right lure (i.e. an Eppinger
Flutter Chuck Magnum) catches fish when nothing else does. I am slowly
developing a subset of go-to lures and am adding the Willy Lure to the
group. I placed my order today.

Just had to drop you a line to tell you how impressed I am with the Willy Lures I purchased from you 3 weeks ago. I just returned from a fishing trip into Lac Duval , Quebec where the fishing was tremendous. First day out I tied an Atomic Melon onto my lead core line and was into my first Laker at 35 feet in less than 10 mins. The guys I fished with were using Willow Leafs,Minnows, Red Finns, Williams, Rapalas, Cyclops and all sorts of other lures. I stuck with the same Willey Atomic Melon Lure and caught 30 Lakers in 2 days. They were all over 50 cms and I released them all except 2 that were 62 and 64 cms. The lure was amazing, great hook sets and never lost 1 fish once it was hooked.
I loaned the guys some of my lures the next day and they too experienced the same success I was enjoying. You can bet they will be ordering some of their own for our next trip.
Thanks again for a great lure !! I will be recommending it to all my friends.

Just want to take time to thank your company for producing such a fine product. I ordered several lures for "spoon" fishing during the cold months. However, the seasons of southern cal. proved to be the same year-around. At any rate my partner and I fished a local tournament here in sunny southerncal (4 fish, 15 inch limit) and hammered fish all day long. How about an 18.01 # limit. These baits are "off the hook. I can't wait for the night tournaments to start this summer, think I will paint a few of my lures black. Gotta try to keep this a secret as long as possibly can.
Kind Regards,

Went fishing with my wife and son August 08 out of St Ignace Mich at about 6:30pm. At 8:30 A King hit on my GHS#69 so hard that it pulled the rod holder over sideways! I have never seen a fish hit a lure this hard! Five minutes later we netted him. This was after my son climbed on to the back of the boat to fight him in. What a great lure! Glad I bought 2 of every spoon you sell. We're going out tonight the 9th. My son and
wife are hooked!

Thanks Bill. I went fishing on friday march 29 to lake Michigan. We fished out of Indiana. We started trolling with a wide assortment of lures and a Willy 200 series spoon being one of them. Our first coho salmon came on a Willy spoon. The 2nd coho salmon came on the same spoon so I switched all my rods to Willy spoons and soon had a 3 man 15 fish limit all on Willy spoons. We heard other people talking on the radio saying how slow it was. They must of not had a Willy spoon. We also went out on Easter Sunday for a few hours but this time out of Chicago where the bite is a lot harder to come by. All my rods had Willy spoons and in 2 hours of fishing we caught 3 coho salmon and 1 brown trout. I am very happy I found your product. It works for me. Thanks.

I got my first real chance to see the Willy Lure in action this past season. My son Drew dubbed it the "dinner bell" for its ability to drum up lunch-size lakers almost on demand from the propwash of his guide boat. I've heard good reports from other lake trout, rainbow, and pike anglers from across Ontario. With the new finishes available, it could become an all round classic.

Dear Willy,
On a recent outing on Lake Michigan I had the opportunity to run your lure that I bought at a Chicago fishing show. It definitely held it's own against the others in my tackle box. We caught 12 fish, 8 of which were on the Willy. Please send me a price list and an order form......

Hi,
First of all, again I would like to say how impressed I am with your Willy Lure. It's great....It has turned my success rate up by 95% in the Muskoka area. Lake trout, pike, even rainbow.

Dear Sir,
I was fortunate enough to try one of your lures while on a fishing trip at Atlin lake (close to the Yukon border). We were trolling for trout. I've enclosed some photographs showing some of the Lake trout we caught using the Willy spoon. We found that your lures exceeded out expectations. It seemed as though every time we put the Willy spoon in the water, we caught a larger lake trout.

Your Willy Lures have just super action! We are using them here for trout, salmon, pike, and arctic char. It works great! The adjustable action allows us to fish it fast or slow.
Thank you.
